A Color Grimoire

Each day I pull a card from one of my oracle decks and paint a little something with the color I turn over. My latest deck, Color Mage Oracle, is described as "a way of understanding the mood of the universe in 108 colors," I'm excited to see if that's true. An older deck in my collection, Prism Oracle, is another way to explore color and geometry.

Oracle cards give me a color to consider and I look for the closest match in my paint box. Closest is the working word here. I have fewer paints than the decks have hues, making every painting a translation, made with colorful intention.

A Color Grimoire paintings are a daily offering, made in gratitude. This page keeps them in community, grouped by color family, with the card and the paint noted beside each color portrait to get a full view of the landscape.
